Been awfully busy with school (still am btw), friendships that go bad (real icky icky because people are arrogant, dumb b'stards) and deciding that what I'm doing in school isn't what I want to become.
Soooo, I've thought long and hard and I've decided to (try to) become a Police Officer, or more explicit: a Detective.
So, how's everyone in here doing?
GT got my card? Abby and Star still hangin' out in FL? Kodo still being a wiseass etc etc etc?
Oooh, 3:50am, I think it'd be a good idea to hit the sack, I'll check back tomorrow

 

I thought about becoming a cop too, but way back in the last year of high school (1972), back then they were shooting at cops and killing them, changed my mine and became a firefighter instead…….I could still help people, just not get shot………wobbles

Only the criminals get shot here, by hitmen, which is good imo

Been pretty good actually, I've been with the same girl for about 7 months now, which is a record
Only had a couple of big fights... well, only 1 big fight and 3 minor ones, so that's all good

I've not yet taken all the test eric, still got to pass the physical, psychological and agression test and after I pass those... an interview!

 

I'd love to say all's well flep but sadly that's as far from the truth as can be I'm afraid.

I wont go into chapter and verse but my daughter passed away last Saturday and I'm in the midst of organising the funeral and the million and one other things that follow such a tragedy.

I sincerely hope it never happens to anyone else but of course it will do as it's part of the frailties of our being and as I told my near 16yr old granddaughter who had just said she could do what she liked, in this world not only can you not do what you like but there are times when in fact you have to do things that you positively don't want to do.

It's being able to visit MG however briefly and maintain some semblance of normality that helps people cope in times of dire stress.

Still enough of such talk at this particular time flep. You and yours have a good one and that goes to all other members too.

 

I'm very sorry to hear about your daughter Rumple. Please accept my condolences and deepest sympathy.
