SB Audigy 2 ZS 9880 Help!

Hi, I'm Bryan Miller and new to the forums. I just purchased an SB Audigy 2.

I basically want to know if I made the right decision. I currently just have a basic stereo with huge speakers attached to it, then split the output wire so it would fit into a basic soundcard input. I also have a 4 speaker & sub unit from soundblaster that isn't being used at the time, which would probably be cool to add to the surround sound.

I need suggestions, feedback, and basically help on what you think I should do? I got a killer deal on it: $100 mail-in rebate = over 50% off, leaving it in the $xx.xx range.
