I have been trying to install Small Business Server 2003 without making it a domain controller but by default it keeps setting it up. I have found out how to demote it by running dcpromo but after I do this, my server management program will not run at all and has a exclamation on it. Any ideas???
I trying to get it setup as a workgroup computer.

    Four words:

    You Can't Do That.

SBS MUST be a Domain Controller.

If you want Windows 2003 Server to use in a workgroup environment or as a member server within an Active Directory domain, you must purchase Windows 2003 Server. SBS cannot be used in this manner.

    Darren
