ScanJet 4100C scans documents, but they come up blank

    I am using an HP Scanjet 4100C. It is old, but usually works. My Windows XP provided the the driver. But recently, my scans come up as blanks. Has anyone ever had this happen to you? Anybody have any ideas why?

    I know what you mean, about mystery buttons..... you spend some minutes wondering what they do then disguard them if everythings going OK.. only to find out one day its a damm important button.
