    HI,

I'm back again :). Our work documents are kept in a "safe source" environment and we frequently have to work on other colleagues files. We use Symantec End Point protection as our work anti virus but one colleague's MSWord documents always seem to cause problems when I have to open them on my computer. I've scanned it with Symantec (it literally took .5 sec) and it found nothing but the last time my MSWord crashed so I'm wondering if there is anything else I can use to make sure that this file is safe to open. Thanks as always - this is a great bunch of people!

Are you looking for something to scan to see if there is malware within the file?

You can use that same tool I gave you before. It works for files or urls:

    https://www.virustotal.com/

    http://virusscan.jotti.org/en-GB is another good one.

To use both of them for files before you open them, you just click on Browse or Choose file and find the file on your computer.

Thanks Laura, I wasn't sure if those were only for online content or not.
