I go to Computer - C: - Properties - Tools - Error Check and tick boxes to run scheduled disk scan at next start up BUT every time I start the computer a message comes up saying that SCHEDULED DISK SCAN has been CANCELLED. I have run disk check through Windows repair, command prompt and it said that there are no errors but I don't want to have to run disk scan this way. Can anyone please help me fix this issue ?

Hi , Thanks for your reply, I Have Windows 7 Ultimate with Service pack 1. The hotfix is not for my problem and it states if I run it might stuff my computer up. When I set Schedule Scan Disk to run at start Up and then restart my computer right near end of start up a small black box comes up with white print and is says that Scan disk has been cancelled, there is no count down nor does it go to start scan disk as soon as this print comes up it goes away and Windows finishes starting up. I have no idea why it is doing it nor do I know how I can fix this stupid problem so really need help with this one
