Scheduled Time Synchronization for Windows XP?

Hello, this site has been such a great help in the past so I figure it wouldn't hurt to try again here.

My windows XP clock seems to run a bit fast which normally wouldn't be too much of a problem, but now that I have my computer record TV shows for me and I notice that beginnings and endings are a bit messed up. The windows XP automatic time synchronization feature only updates the clock's time once a month. I seem to recall having a freeware program - maybe even a windows toy that let me change that so windows would update my time at any interval I wanted - but I can't remember the name of that program or where I found it. By any chance can any of you point me to a freeware program that will let me change windows xp to synchronize my time say once or twice a day?

also this one Tweak N Tune from here http://www.acelogix.com/freeware.html once installed goto network > internet time syncronization interval and change the value to something more appropreate for you, this then changes the interval time the Windows Interent Time checks the time. ( I have been playing with this app this afternoon )

If you want a permanent change, and are confident with patching the Registry, try the following reply, from Insomniac:

Yes, but it involves a trip to the Registry, so create a Restore Point prior and take all the usual precautions.
Go to Start, run and type in regedit then click OK.
Navigate to:

1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\W32Time\Tim eProviders\NtpClient

2. Select "SpecialPollInterval"

3. Change decimal value from 604800 to some other
value in seconds. i.e.: 172800 (2 Days) or 86400 (1 Day) and so on.
