School Firewall

    Hello everyone,

    I'm new so welcome me ;) , lol jk

    Just wondering if anyone knows how I can disable the school firewall on my laptop, apparently I can't log onto DC++, I can log onto Kazaa, but the speed is toooooooo slow. PLEASE HELP!

    They block the ports for a reason. if you are caught disabling the firewall/unblocking the ports, they will probably ban you from using the network.

    Unless you have full on access to the server, you cant "disable" the firewall, and even if you did it would be a hardware firewall as well as software and would stop the internet connection working anyway. therefore = bad idea

    The only way I know of to do it is to use a proxy server on the other side of the firewall and filter everything through that. But net admins are obviously going to frown on that kind of thing.
