Scipt-Zip at remote machine

    If anyone expert in scripting?

    Can we prepare script to run at local machine for zipping a file located at remote machine

    This is a very simple task if you have a compression program that supports command line utilities. WinZip does not have this feature until you get a paid plugin for version 9.

    WinRAR does have command-line options, but I found them to be akward at best. You could google for listings...

    The easiest to use (scripting wise) that I've found is PKZIP and PKUNZIP. To use, simply put PKZIP sourcefile destinationarchive in a batch file, and you're golden!
