Scob virus-should we disable javascript in IE?

    Hi,microsoft says IE users should disable javascript if they don`t have SP2 installed,according to a september 2004 article in pc world magazine.
    We don`t have sp2 installed yet--so is it really necessary to disable such a key feature (javascript) to prevent the scob virus from infecting computers?
