    Hi

I have a Hannspree TV set, LED backlight. I hooked it up as a monitor for my computer recently. When I switch to the TV parts of the picture scramble every now and again. This is wrecking my head.

The TV was fine before. I've tried re-installing channels but the problem persists. Left overnight the TV was fine when I switched it on at the socket, however the distortion returned after switching to the PC. The picture is fine when using the PC.

I remember reading somewhere that due to the often inactivity of features on a PC screen, the LCD display can deteriorate over time. I had a dell LCD monitor that had recently displayed a tiny ink stain type at the bottom of the screen followed within a week or two horizontal lines at the bottom of the screen. I think its having a slow death :confused

What are my option at this stage? I've heard of Firmware updates, but I'm fairly new to that all. Hope you may help me. I think I've tried everything that I can to tweak settings on the TV.

    Thanks

    D
