Screen cant take the strain.

Hello again guys.

This question is both hardware and software but more people read the software part of the forum.

The problem i have is that recently i have just got a new TFT monitor as my old one cracked. My old one was a £200 CTX but the company doesn't supply it anymore so i got a £100 HANZ G as a replacement.

Since i have got the monitor any time i run a high CPU usage application that hogs my RAM; my screen goes blank like it is turned off until the usage of RAM decreases. It doesn't do it with games which is strange enough but when i install new programs for instance it has a tendency to make my screen blank out.

Sorry if this description seems a bit "foggy" if you have any questions just ask.

P.S this never happened on my old TFT monitor nor did this happen of the CRT monitor i used whilst waiting for my replacement TFT.

 

The thing is that my monitor has been all round the house and plugged into multiple computers, with multiple graphics cards and all the computers had multiple differant types of software placed on to it.

as for the 100% cpu useage. This doesnt happen randomly i know it isnt malware or spyware. It happens when i do something that uses a lot of resources; for example install new program or when i first log into my computer as i have a lot of thing that start up on msconfig.

Thanks for your reply though if it is just hardware it is a big shame as my warrenty has run out as it continued on from my old CTX one.

i think it is my screen that needs replacing but *bump* just in case anyone elce has had this problem and fixed it.
