I'm running windows 7 on an Alienware Area m-5150, with nvidia ge force 7600 video card. One day out of no where lines came across the screen, but when you run the cursor around on the screen they disappear and come back on other parts of the screen. I've reinstalled windows, updated my drivers and nothing seems to be working. My current video card is 256mb, i ordered a new one but could only find a lower MB. Computer wouldn't even boot with that. PLEASE HELP!! ANY SUGGESTIONS ARE APPRECIATED!!
    Thanks
    Jeremy

    Could it be the monitor?

The reason I don't believe its the monitor is because the lines don't stay in one place. The horizontal lines disappear when the cursor runs over an area on the screen, yet they appear in other places. So always keeping the screen extremely distorted.
