Screen goes black constantly. No warning.

Hi. I've had my laptop since October 2009 and have noticed since around November that my screen will suddenly go black and I have to manually shut my laptop down.

This happens CONSTANTLY and it's extremely annoying. Some days my laptop will function just fine and other days the screen will go black every two minutes and I have to keep restarting it.

I notice it does this a lot when I'm watching online shows or when I start playing the Sims.

I have two cooling pads and I try to keep it from over heating (screen goes black before the computer even feels hot sometimes)..

I would love to know if anyone has a solution since I'm about ready to just dump this one.

Did you check the configuration of the Power saving?

Some laptop can have three configuration systems

1. BIOS

2. Vendor software

3. Windows Power Options

Check them all.
