Screen On Aoc Monitor Is Distorted After Pc "wakes Up"

I am having a new issue on a different Windows 10 system. Many times (not always) the screen on the AOC monitor (Model e2450Swd) is distorted (stretched horizontally) when the PC "wakes up". It is so distorted that I cannot see the Start icon in the bottom left corner nor can I see the file/program icons on the left side of the screen. At that point, my only option is to perform a shutdown. After shutting down using the Power button, the screen appearance returns to normal. Any idea as to what is causing this?

 

You need to first check to make sure the cables are securely fastened and not loose. If okay, then you need to swap monitors with another computer. This is the only way to determine if the problem is with the monitor or with the graphics solution in the computer. If the problem follows your monitor to the second computer, the problem is with the monitor. If the problem stays with the computer and now appears with the 2nd monitor, you know the problem is with the computer and/or its graphics solution.

If you don't have or cannot borrow a 2nd monitor, most TVs accept computer input.
