    Hey all,

I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 512 RAM with a 40 gb HD bought in January 2005. just to give specs. Well I have done alot of searching on the web and can't seem to find an answer to the question i'm about to ask. My LCD screen is going on the fritz. WHen I open my screen, my picture becomes distorted and hundreds of lines fill up my screen and when I move my screen a certain way (sometimes) it will become clear again. I think it's a pinched wire or something, but I don't know. I was wondering if anyone had any insight as to what is wrong. I don't have a warranty left on it, but I can replace the screen if i have too, but I want to get opinions and a diagnosis if I can as to what's wrong. Anyone else having a similar problem? Thanks in advance for any answers.

    Joshua

well i hate to tell you your not alone, dell's laptops get pinched wires alot.
well most laptops as well, anyway sounds like you know what your problem is
pinched wires usually cause that problem.

Also too bad you don't have a warrenty in case somthing more serious is the cause. But to cut this short, sounds like a pinched wire to me, sorry for the bad writing and not being more helpful.
