Screensaver freezes

For the past week my computer has frozen nearly everyday, while the screensaver was running. I then reboot the computer manually. I have noticed the system resources are near 57% too, maybe a coincidence. Any ideas?
The computer is a gateway running windows me. It has an intel celeron processor (660 mhz), and 184 mb ram.

 

check for spyware, virus trojan, do a good scan. probably not related but why not
r u running like a crazy graphics screensaver taht takes up a lot of meemory.
what i do is, i usually just turn off my monitor when im afk and stuff i barely use the screensaver. sometimes when i forget, my screensaver's just a black blank screen, nothing fancy.

 

I have completed spybot, adaware, and housecall. The computer is now free of spyware. Nothing major, except one adaware reappeared after deleting last time. Any other ideas

 

Change the screen saver, defragment the hard drive, swear at the computer
