    Hi,

For some strange reason, my screensaver will not launch by itself.
This is a fresh reinstall of XP Home from the partition. I have run Spybot, Adaware, and Trend Micro House Call, just to make sure my machine was not hit between the time the OS was reinstalled and I could download and install Zone Alarm.
What are the odds this problem is due to the Drempels screensaver I installed? Either way, the screensaver will not kick in, even when 3D Pipes is selected.

    Any clues?

    Thanks,
    housiemousie2

I had some problems w/ Drempels also- I can't remember any details 'cuz it was at least 18months ago... uninstall Drempels and see what happens...

Thought so. Thanks, I will try that. Such a shame though... I like Drempels, have had it on every machine I have owned... that and Ephemera. Guess it is time to hunt down Ephemera. lol

Thanks again, will keep you posted.

Uh oh... my Display Poperties dialog box just locked up. Time to restart I guess.
    Be back in a flash.

Yeah- Drempels is too cool ;) !!! But everytime I've used it, I've had other screensaver or general display problems, nothing major, but annoying little stuff....

Okay, uninstalled Drempels... now it kicks in by itself. lol Of course for some reason the Display Properties is going SUPER slow... takes it a long time to highlight the Apply button, then the OK button. It has 'timed out' several times. Weird. SpyBot's dialog box about Allowing or Denying the change is sluggish too.

Like I said above, Drempels caused me assorted display problems.... you can try a system restore to the day right before you installed Drempels. Maybe try Dial-A-Fix (check everything in the Registration Center). You can get Dial-A-Fix for free from 'The Geeks'.
