While screensavers are no longer popular (or needed), they can be beautiful, mesmerizing or funny.
Here are 737 free animated screensavers for Windows. (No indication of which versions of Windows each screensaver supports.)

    Included are some retro screensavers.

I used to use GeoClock. (paid and I have the program on floppies) It is so old that it won't work on Windows 7 as a screensaver. I have managed to install it and I can click a link on my quick launch bar to view it.

I now use a calendar, created by a woman in Belgium, where the seconds move.. Fortunately, she updated it a few years ago so it shows the current year. The calendar changes color so it is not that drab gray.

Did the toaster one spit out toast? When I first saw the Johnny Castaway one I thought that he was barfing. Those are some cool screensavers.

zonerings32, electric, ss5, fog on your desktop, are a few.
vrman's 3D screensavers were absolutely brilliant -> tidal forces, fireworks, and his christmas one.

No. The toasters have wings and they, along with slices of toast, fly diagonally across the screen.

Eldon, thank you for the link. I found a favorite via the search on "sky". It was a favorite for me back in the W98-XP days, when I was a bit more active in local astronomy. The default setup is somewhat busy, but is remedied by the available detailed adjustments. There isn't much action/movement as many other savers have, but the sky doesn't move too quick either, which is just fine for me. I was tickled it works on W7 by just copying the .scr to the system32 directory and running it via "Personalize". Its a keeper again!
