screenshots

    Could anyone reccommend a screenshot program to take screenshots of directx games? I have tried many that claim to work but all they end up giving me are shots with nothing in them but blackness.

    Hi

    I know it would be a pain to take loads of screenshots but iirc the normal print screen PRTSCN button and then pasting into MS Paint tends to work ok in games... or for a software solution this is specifically for games FRAPS also check out the games instructions as many now do have inbuilt screenshot capabilities.

    Printscreen and paint combo works in most older games, but in many of the newer games out there it just pastes a blackscreen into paint instead of an actual screenshot.

    Try FRAPS as this is designed to specifically take screenshots in games or D3DGear.

    Plus list what software you have tried so far, and which games are you trying on, when back on my desktop which has some of the latest games on I will try out the above, but FRAPS I know worked on GhostRecon when i wanted a few screenshots.
