    Hello all,

I have a digital concepts camera with a 512MB memory card in it. I also have a generic little USB card reader.

I was trying to empty all the pictures off the card, but I was lazy & in a hurry, and I did something incredibly dumb. I put the card in the reader, went select all, cut, paste to my hard drive. Well, it works with my MP3 player.

Duh. The card probably has firmware in it, eh? It stopped mid-paste and said it could not continue. Now, the reader still sees all the pictures on the card, but my camera doesn't see them, and it won't take pictures with the card at all.

What do I need to do to get it to work again? It's a sandisk card; the camera I got without software, but it never needed it.

Take all the pictures off the card. Use windows explorer to drag a few at a time from the card, right-clicking to select move here, and place in a folder on your desktop. When the card is completely empty of pictures, put it into the camera and see if it is usable.
My older camera has a way for me to format the card in the camera. Check if your camera can do this. Formatting thru the camera is preferable to formatting it in windows.
