My dad has an upgraded PC with XP and Outlook 2002, and he is giving me hell because his fancy Logitech scrolling mouse isn't scrolling at one particular point that he advises used to, when he previously used win95 and an older version of Outlook.

When composing a new email, he opens up the contacts list, which is a small and unexpandable window, but the mouse scrolling function fails to work! Any ideas? Strange that the scroll function doesn't work here, especially as it should work wherever there is a scroll bar at the side!

Note that supplied mouse software is being used and that it works elsewhere satisfactorily.

PS I have tested this with PCs at work with win XP and 2000 using Outlook 2002 and agree with him that it doesn't work, but can't prove that it did!

IS IT A BUG IN OUTLOOK 2002?
    ANY HELP APPRECIATIED..........

Is he using "Hot Zones" in the mouse properties? When the Contact list is open, have him click in the window to see if it will scroll the scrollbar.
