Scroll pad not working?

    The scroll pad on my laptop is not working:mad. I recently updated the driver for the "mouse" and the firmware for my BIOS at the same time. I can't roll back the driver for my mouse pad, so I don't know what is causing the problem the driver of the firmware?

    HP pavilion zv5000, XP. I have downloaded the most recent driver for the touch pad from HP.
