SCSI driver problem

Hello All

But I have found that something strange is happening with the SCSI driver. Every time I reboot my PC it is telling me that it has found new hardware. And it would be the SCIC device. It then asks me if I wish to install the device. half way through the installation it says that the driver is not digitally sighed. Being a pleb that I am, I continued with the installation anyway. And then the blue screen of death appears for two seconds then completely restarts.

I thought this to be very strange as I thought that it would be compatible with the new build that I have. Did anyone else get the same problem? I will post the system spec's below.

ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe motherboard
AMD Athlon 64, 3500+ socket 939
XFX Geforce 6600GT
1x512 Corsair RAM
Q-Tec ATX PSU 650W
IDE HDD maxtor 40GB
Windows XP SP2

 

When you built this system...did you do a repair/new install of windows?? And when you booted from the windows install disk...did you hit F6 in order to install the SCSI driver??

Whenever you change anything critical (motherboard or cpu) you have to do a new or repair install if you are running XP or 2000!! And when you do this...like I said above... when it boots off of the install cd, while setup files are loading, you'll notice that it says at the bottom to hit F6 to load any SCSI or STAT driver you might need!! Then a little later it will prompt you to insert the floppy to load the SCSI or SATA driver!!

Didn't know if you knew that or not!!!
