scsi/raid host controller

Found New Hardware Wizard keeps popping up when I start computer. It says that it found SCSI/RAID HOST CONTROLLER, would I like to install it. So, I follow directions and it tells me it cannot install. It says "The specified device does not exist as an installed service." Also, my DVD drive does not play any DVD's...could this be related?

Right click My Computer and select properties then the Hardware tab. Click on Device Manager and post what is showing a yellow ! or a red x.

Don't make me guess what item(s) are showing red X's.

I'm guessing you don't have RAID set up on your computer. When the found new hardware wizard pops up, do not cancel it. Look through the dialog and check/tick DO NOT ASK me to set this up again.

 

OK. I tried that. It doesn't give me any chance to do as you suggested. I ran through the wizard twice (it keeps popping up). However, there is a yellow ! now in the device manager instead of the red x for SCSI/RAID Host Controller.

 

anyone? Bueller?
