SD card data recovery?

Hi There,

I have a 256 MB Dane-Elec SD.

A couple of weeks ago, my camera began to display a "memory card error". I inserted the card into my PCs card reader, and it said that the media was not formatted. I didn't want to format it, because it's got my 3 year old sons Halloween pictures on it. My wife wants to kill me for not buying a name-brand card. Oh well, live and learn.

Anyway, now it isn't recognized at all by my camera, Axim, or any card reader that I've tried.

I was wondering if anyone has any tricks they could suggest that might allow me to get it working just long enough to get the pics off.

I checked out my favorite digital camera site http://www.imaging-resource.com and found

Don't know if it works, but give it a try. Let us know.

Also: other software is available from either Lexar or Sandisk. The Lexar software also comes literally on their card when you buy it.
