    Hi, folks.
Out of the blue, the internal SD card reader in my HP Touchsmart IQ506 stopped working. I don't recall if something on my system updated this week or not - can't recall one, anyway. I'm thinking it may be a driver issue, but don't know. Any ideas on what to do? I've looked online at a few possibilities (device manager "things"), but no luck thus far. Time to call in... the big guns (ie, you).

I use Windows Vista. Anything else you need to know, just ask.

    Cheers,

    Steve

Hi Steve long time no chat

In Device Manager do you have any yellow ! marks by any device and if so what?

The general things I would have suggested in re-install of Chipset then Card Reader driver are not options as HP do not list them for your model PC sadly.

    Hrmm...

No, no yellow exclamation points. I can connect SD cards through a USB adapter/reader or via cords for specific devices... 'tis just annoying!
