Question up for grabs. I have a SD memory for my digital camera, simple enough, when I insert it into my card reader to format it message appears write protected. So I remove it insert it back into the camera and now it reads disk locked. I just used the camera with this disk 7 days ago and had no problem, does anyone have a fix for this situation?

Check the side of your sd memory card, some of these have a small lock/unlock switch. It sometimes gets moved while removing from pc.

I have 3 that were given to me for this very thing

If it is not locked, try another card reader or try the card in another computer.
Some card readers in certain computers, give the write protected message with certain sd cards.

The switch was the problem. Thank you, and the old saying of look before you leap should have been taken into consideration. Thanks again.
