hi, first timer here !

i have been having some probs with my computer in the last 2 weeks..........

friends have made several suggestions, unfortunately either my carrying them out has been awry or their instructions have been poor !

but, i have a rectangular box on my screen with the thread title as a message

when i try and do anything to it, i can't

the history :

i downloaded spy bot search and destroy

i uninstalled norton

then..........................the thread title occured

i switched machine off and then this morning could not get into anything

my partner managed after 3 hours to get into msn etc............

we have no desktop, no start 'button', no tool bars



no doubt i have made a simple mistake but it seems major !

started downloading the link you gave at 10pm last night

now at 7am it still hasn't downloaded

can't be right that can it !?
