Seamonkey keeps requesting default verification

    Every time I select Seamonkey as my browser a message keeps asking me if I want to make Seamonkey my default browser (I also have IE installed). I select YES and it still looks for verification next time I start Seamonkey.

    Hi

    Try setting the default setting in Seamonkeys options menu, Edit > Preferences > Navigator > Click Set Default Browser

    Which Windows version are you using also?

    If XP try this to set the defaults.

    If Vista try this to set the defaults.

    I tried your suggestion for VISTA but SeaMonkey was not listed!

    Hi

    Ok, as Seamonkey is not yet afaik fully Vista compatible in the 1.1 version, uninstall it and then install it as Adinistrator and while you maybe the admin, your not the full admin, so right click the seamonkey setup file and choose Run as Admin to install it, then open it and set to default, does it work ok?


    If not then right click the shortcut icon and choose properties > compatability tab and at bottom tick always run as admin, then reset the default in seamonkey.

    What version Seamonkey you using? could try the alpha version 2 of seamonkey BUT bare in mind its not even a beta so isnt full release version so prome to some maybe bugs, but works fine for me in Vista Ultimate x64 and Windows 7 x64, with no need to run as admin the installer.
