search a hard drive

I don't know if I'm in the right place but I hope someone can help me. I have reason to believe that my soon to be husband is hiding something from me (I've found clues on his computer), other than looking at internet history and checking the search option, is there another way that I can check for things he may have deleted but will still be logged on the hard drive?

It may or may not be site policy, but it's personal policy to not get involved in such matters. It is none of my business, but if you're not even married yet and you already don't trust him, then I think you have other things to worry about. The most important ingredient in any healthy relationship is trust. If there was any lack of trust between my wife and I, we wouldn't still be together after 14 years, and probably would never have been married in the first place....

HOWEVER- there are many free programs that will scan the hard drive for deleted items and give you the opportunity to recover them. Be sure to recover them to an external drive (USB drive, flash drive, etc) or will overwrite the stuff you're trying to save with the stuff you have saved (did that make sense). Here's some links:
