In order to use other web site's searches, you just need to get their link from using their search and replace the text with whatever you want to search for. i.e.

    Code:
    http://searchjustice.usdoj.gov/search?q=[B][SIZE="6"]test+search[/SIZE][/B]&btnG.x=0&btnG.y=0&btnG=Search&sort=date%3AD%3AL%3Ad1&output=xml_no_dtd&ie=iso-8859-1&oe=UTF-8&client=default_frontend&proxystylesheet=default_frontend&site=default_collection

Of course, you are at the mercy of the website your searching... If they change how their search works, you'll have to fix your link.
