I have a friend's laptop. I ran malwarebytes, glary utilities, tweaking all in one, avg, junkware remover and adwcleaner. It's fast now but the problem is whether I use Mozilla, Internet Explorer or Opera when I type in the address bar www.google.com, www.bing.com it takes me to rpgland.org/land.php. In opera the default is google. When I type in the search it says, this webpage is not available. I can type yahoo.com and it goes there but if i search for anything I get the same message. Here's the really weird part. If I type in any addresses that are not search engines it will let me go there. If I click on a link it will let me go there. It just won't let me go to any search engines except for yahoo. If you go into the certificates manager it has a lot of trusted sites that should not be there. I have gone into regedit and deleted them but when I restart and go back they are all there still. Please help me resolve this issue. Thanks.

After you do as JoeRay 12 suggests and they get the malware issues taken care of, make sure to tell your friend to download from safe sites only (like Major Geeks) and choose custom install instead of express install so he/she can opt out of installing any "bundleware" that may come with the program he/she actually wants. Otherwise, he/she will end up in the same or a worse situation.
