Searching similar to Game Prelauncher

Hi everyone.

I discovered this fun program few days ago.
Its not freeware but I could not find something similar. Maybe you can help.

So this app can:
Turn off all autoload programs (from all reg keys and startup folders) and services except necessary (92% on Win7), turn off the Shell (Explorer), registered dlls, sound themes, even drivers and probably other stuff with single click. Then restart - and here we have Clean Windows game mode.

More ram, free processor.
I got some fps increase with it (in ffxii emulator in some places + 11!! COD BOps MP- +8!).

So I could not find something similar to Game Prelauncher but free - it will be great!
Booster is fake, amd Fusion does not disable so much.
If you know something similar please say it.

Ok, when I started Gbooster it always trying to update.
You could not play on laptop or on PC without internet it is just impossible!

After download an update I start it.
It loading something ("loading please wait") - 100% CPU. and then ta-da:
Gboost cannot perform at the moment due to a temporary error. Gboost will close now.
Perfectly!
Clean Windows 7 x64 on VmWare.


ok. Install it on my real Windows 7 x64.
Same but ("loading please wait") - 100% CPU. ok I 'm waiting 2 min.. 5min.... 10 min..
Terminated from task manager. Annoying!


Ok, finally I installed it.
1.It begins to download fking dotnet 30 mb.
2. Install app.
3. UPdate.
4. Started. Finally!
5. Enable advanced mode . I selected to disable all.

Gboost disable 15 services from 53 and 3 programs.
OMG how many objects! lol
Game Prelauncher disable in game mode 47 services and all autorun.


Ok. So I began to test it on COD Black ops and Fraps.
So before I see 31 after I see 34 frames per second.
So Gboost : +3 fps. Really "incredible".
On the same OS and same config with GPrelauncher I got +8-9.

So I'm searching for the freeware program or scripts that can disable for gaming session:
1. All autorun. Completely.
2. Most services. MOST. Leaving only critical or necessary (e.g. network).
For example in GP I can select Enable Network or disable in game profile.
3. Shell.
4. Registered dlls
5. All shell components like wallpapper and sound themes etc.
6. Other stuff, drivers.

Like GP can, but free - it will be great!

I do not think that Game Prelauncher is so unique program in the world.

 

OK I will try to specify requirements.

So that Game Prelauncher can create clean Windows mode, disabling most objects.
There are no tray, no clock, no wallpaper, no start button - all stuff disabled for gaming session only and only one game running.
Most services disabled (on Win 7 only 9 works from 68 - if I also disable network in GPrelauncher profile ), all autorun disabled, Explorer, registered dlls, sound themes and other disabled .
This stuff do not use CPU and harddrive and memory, so frame rate will be increased like in my case on +11 per second.
Like that. For my PC with GF 7900GS its cool result.

Any optimizers that I found can not do it - Game Booster, Game Boost, Fusion. Some of them like Booster is just fake by tests.

Interesting idea. I've never seen such.
Usually, I also used Game Boost.

I think Prelauncher will be useful on laptops if you want to play there.
You can disable more services manually, for example using reg files.
And then turn on again with reg files.
First export services reg key (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services) to file.
Then go to game mode with GPrelauncher.
Look at what services Game Prelauncher disables in its game mode. Or better enables - because Game Prelauncher leave enabled only 10 services from 58 on my PC. [nice!]
Then Export services regkey to file (game mode). So you can disable services from reg files.

What about disabling Explorer - again you can do it with reg files, but Windows (welcome screen) will loading too long WO ANY shell. So maybe majorgeeks specs can help.

In the case of the Game Prelauncher - this program in game mode is registered as a shell instead of Explorer. So Explorer does not loading in GP game mode and does not load registered dlls and other stuff. So GP is like a lite windows shell in game mode.

Sound themes - do not know. Maybe also reg files. But its take a long time to adjust.

You can also use RegMon Utility (by Russinovish). To see what makes the program in the registry.

If you are not advanced user I think you better use Game Prelauncher if you need a clean game mode. Because I have never seen such programs that can fully maximize Windows perfomance like GP. You can search in Chinese web resources maybe you will find somth similar.

Anyway GP results (FPS) is really 2x better then GBoost gives according to my tests (gboost was the num one for me, so I compare with GB). 28\31 , 28\36
GP price is 3 glasses of beer think its not so much so why are u searching somth else I do not understand.

I have not used Game-Prelauncher yet but it sounds like we are heading in that kind of direction.

At first we must get GBoost running to a stage where it eliminates most of the known processes and services.

GBoost only needs its initial connection to the net to download your custom boost list, after that it should work offline.

Then we will start looking at any other non permanent tweaks that we can do.

We are still in Beta so it may take a couple or 3 months to really start getting up to speed.

I cannot purchase it right now (I just have no any bank cards now). Later I do it without fail. Or maybe part of Game Prelauncher functionality will be added to free Gbooster.

Maybe somebody know how to disable Explorer manually in next Windows boot?
