Second Admin Account Question

Today on my XP Pro SP2 system I created a second administrative account with the intention of making it limited and using it for most activity on the Internet. Before making it limited, however, I switched over to it and found some problems.

Most of my regular icons were not on my desktop. The few that were seemed randomly selected. A minor issue is that my wallpaper changer did not work.

What is it with the missing icons, can anyone help please? It feels as though I failed to do something or other.

    Thanks,
    Bartolo

Because the missing icons were set to your current account, under C:\Documents and Settings\<your_current_account_name>\Desktop . The icons that showed up in the new account were set under all users at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop ....

Thanks, Gevorgkhc. Yes I see that under Documents and Settings I have three folders: Admin, All Users, and user, and each one has a Desktop. The All Users folder is by far the largest of the three, for what that's worth.

Am I supposed to copy a Desktop folder from one place to another? If so,
I am getting skittish about messing up. I did not expect the process to create a second admin ID to be so disruptive.

Just copy and paste from one folder into the other ....I don't believe you can have an admin account that is limited....
