Secure Boot Violation

Not sure if this is software or hardware, but I gotta start somewhere.

I run windows 10
Asus gaming laptop
G751JM-BH17T25
If you need more info I can get it for you.

This computer was running perfectly fine yesterday, woke up this morning to it off, did not think much of it, I turned it on and I went to work, so I did not see if this happened then, when I came home from work, again it was off, so I hit the power button and got an error

Secure Boot Violation
Invalid signature detected. Check settings in boot policy setup.

I kilck "ok" and it put me right in to the BIOS... I have tried to change things in the set up but I end up in the same place... it is and endless loop. Is this a software issue or hardware issue??

I tried to reset the BIOS, even tho doing this my self terrifies me, but my computer told me to plug in my computer because my battery is below 20%. It was already plugged in. The battery is toast, has been for years. Wont hold a charge at all, but is always plugged in..

I did order a new battery, in hopes I can factory reset the BIOS, it will be here on Friday.

When I did some research I found that this is a wondows 7 issue, and should not happen with windows 10.. so now more confused.. I am looking for any tips tricks, and info on fixing this, and would like to know what caused this as well...
