To follow on from Halo's recommendations, I suggest that you download and install these 3.

    Cleanup! http://www.stevengould.org/
    EmpTemp http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=1575
    and CrapCleaner aka CCleaner http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4191

All are free, don't conflict with each other, and each finds stuff the other 2 miss. Run Cleanup! first, with the volume up, for a laugh. Cleanup! also states the number fo files deleted, as well as the space saved. Run all 3 after each NET session for best results. Beware, the defaults on each will remove your Internet history, sites visited, etc. This may not be what you want, so save any sites visited to your Favourites file before running these. I run all 3 with the standard defaults every day. Any sites that I visit, and want to keep, I bookmark at the time.

They will really get rid of all the crap that accumulates after every net session. You will be amazed at how much stuff they find, and remove.

I suggest that you do a defrag fairly regularly, as well. If you haven't cleaned all crap and defragged recently, the initial defrag can take a long while. After the first time, defrag at least weekly to keep your hard drive in good shape. Bazza
