on some sites i get a message of security alert that tells me that "information you exchange with this site cannot be viewed or changed by others. However there is a problem with the sites security certificate." Then it says

"The certificate is from a trusted authority" this has a tick next to it.

"The certificate has expired or is not valid" there is a "!" next to this

"The certificate has a valid name matching the page you are tying to view" this has a tick next to it.

then it ask if i want to proceed yes or no i click yes and get access to the page but why does it come up and how can i stop it thank you

If using IE ....Tools / Internet Options / Advanced / Security ( 'bout half way down the Advanced page).

You're supposed to "uncheck" the line "check for publisher's certificate...".
But for security reason, this would be unrecommended move. If this is a site that you go to all the time and you trust the site, copy it to "trusted site" in internet security settings.
Tools - internet options - security tab - trusted sites.
