Security certificate errors

Running IE8, under XP SP3, and I keep getting "security certificate errors". I was also going to try one of the "picks" under memory tweaking, and CleanMem was flagged by AVG as a "threat", under "potentially unwanted application.

What gives? Is it XP, or the site?

 

CleanMem (by Shane over at pcwintech) is good and clean; ensure you have the latest version, if it's still flagged by AVG, ping Shane and flag it up as a false positive with AVG as well.

 

As far as the certificate errors, here's a good explanation...unless, of course, it's your own machine. Check your date and time: everything look kosher there? If not, might be time for a new CMOS battery...

But, you were correct about the date. It was one day "fast". Sometimes, two heads are better than one, and a forum of G-E-E-K-S HAS NO EQUAL!

I'll restart IE8, and see if that solves the issue.

 

Synchronized with Windows time, re-booted and still getting certificate error with the site.

I do know that I didn't get the error the other day on this PC.

 

Don't know where the other posts ended up, can't see them but synchronized the time, re-booted, and still have issues.

This is a fresh install of XP, and I am currently running mbam to err on the side of caution.

 

Check Windows/Microsoft Update, there could still be something missing your end as this is a fresh install.
