Security fixes? Please Help !!

Hi,

I ran Belarc to see my system specs, it told me I'm missing a LOT of security fixes???
Score 1.88 / 10

Microsoft says I need No Critical Updates????

Confused, What do I have to do to keep my computer safe.

When you go to microsoft update
it gives you the options of
Express Get high-priority updates (recommended)
or
Custom Select from optional and high-priority updates for Windows and other programs

If you select custom
it will have a list of optional updates
for windows and for other software & hardware on your computer

it may be these that are causing the low Belarc score

The score 1.88 of 10 you're seeing is the CIS Benchmark Score. Click on the link "CIS Benchmark Score" right above the 1.88 to see more about what that is.

On the right side of the System Security Status you should see a box with the heading Microsoft Security Updates that should show whether there are any Microsoft security updates you're missing. It's possible that you're missing Microsoft office security updates, but only using the old Microsoft "Windows Update" service. If so, install and start using the "Microsoft Update" service instead as it easily delivers to you the office security updates.

The Belarc Advisor doesn't check systems for optional updates as they're not security related. The cause of a low score is either missing security updates or other OS security configuration settings.

I just assumed you were using Microsoft updates not just windows updates
