If i open Explorer and select any folder it will display the total size of any files included in that folder, but it excludes files contained in any subfolder.

Is there an easy way of getting this?

Halo, thanks for that link. :cool

Did you scroll down to check out FileList V1.6? on the same link?

Might come in handy for some MG readers.

Yes, there is... The freeware file manager called ExplorerXP will do the job quite nicely and more. I have used this program for years as an alternative to using Windows Explorer.

For starters, ExplorerXP also shows you folder size information (not just file size), and it also shows you the actual size of compressed files and folders as well. In addition to that this file manager uses tabs, making it easier to keep track of your files.

The ExplorerXP program download file is available HERE in the All in One section here at Major Geeks.

Another nice thing about this program is that it will also support USB devices, so it's not a problem if you use an extra USB hard drive. It also lets you merge and split files and rename several files at once.

Side Note: Another similar freeware program called xplorer² free* version is also very good and has lots of extra features as well.

    Good Luck!
