    Good Evening to y'all!

I've used these forums a lot in the past to find solutions to 'stuff', but this one has got me stumped mainly because I'm not exactly sure what to search for, so please please excuse this post if it's the thousandth one you've had.

    Using bonafide XP SP2.

What I'm trying to achieve is a right click context menu item to basically cut and paste instead of "Send To" which is copy paste. This would be used for moving files to a specific directory.

I've so far managed to achieve this, somewhat, by using the o'reilly's guide. Now I have a right click "Move to folder" which opens up an explorer window, which I can browse and select a directory to cut and paste to. Works a treat.

However what I would really like is to use the same functionality as the "Send To" option, where I could place shortcuts in a "moveto" folder instead of having to browse.

I guess my real question is about registry values.

A link would be more than appreciated but what I would like to know is how, as in this "Send to" key

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\Send To]
    @="{7BA4C740-9E81-11CF-99D3-00AA004AE837}"

    specifically the @="{7BA4C740-9E81-11CF-99D3-00AA004AE837}",

tells XP to look in the C:\Documents and Settings\Baldrick2\SendTo, list the shortcuts and Drives etc in that folder, then to copy / paste accordingly.

Whereas the my newly created "Move to" key

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\Move To]
    @="{C2FBB631-2971-11d1-A18C-00C04FD75D13}"

Opens a browser window (which will cut / paste) when I browse and click OK!

Basically all I want to know is how do you write those values eg. {C2FBB631-2971-11d1-A18C-00C04FD75D13}.

Please excuse me if the question is badly worded. My problem is I don't really know what I'm asking if that makes any sense, but I hope I've given enough info for some technical god to figure it out.

Very Kind Regards and thank you for any answers.

    Edit;

If it explains what I'm trying to achieve any easier, what I would like to do is to right click (cut / paste) move a file from say My Documents to say My Videos, My Music, My films etc. but have that choice of directory in the right click context menu (as supplied by a separate folder same as Send To, instead of copy it and the have to delete the original.

    Evening!

    Ok I waited very patiently!

I fully understand these boards are flooded everyday, I think I'm on page 3 now (first time for everything!! lol..UK Sun reader joke!(kind of))

I'm more than willing to try and figure the language out for myself, but my first stumbling block is that I have no idea what to search for. I've googled reg data values etc etc and only ever returned the standard DWORD, string etc for which I don't think this applies.

What would this string actually be called? Is it a CLID?

Please, just a general "point in the right direction" is all I'm after.

    Thanks again

    Balders
