    Hi,

I don't know if this forum fits my question but I'll try.

I'm communicating with a motion controller through a serial port.

I can send a command to it through windows hyper-terminal,which works fine, for example:

    Alt(0227)Alt(0129)?xAlt(013)

where Alt(...) means holding the alt key while typing the characters inside the parenthesis.

When I try to send this command to the serial port through Matlab I fail.
It seems Alt(0227) isn't ASCII(227) as I thought so which character is it? and how do I generate it on Matlab?

    please help!!!!

    Ran.
