Sending Large Email Attachments

okay I have a problem & I kind of feel a tad bit stupid -- because I am probably just not looking at the right internet site or something.. Anyhow I have a file that is in PDF format & I need to send it as an email attachment -- the only problem is that all of the email addresses that I have do not support attachments larger than 16mb -- & my file is 46.6 mb -- I tried to send it on yousendit.com but for some reason it didn't work. How do I send an email attachment the size of 46.6mb in one piece ?? Please tell me in terms I can understand (step by step) so that I don't mess it up. Thanks so much for your help!!!

 

Well, to be honest, you don't. Pretty much all public servers will toss anything that large. They simply won't accept an attachment of that size.

Many offices will setup their work e-mails to allow larger attachments like this, of course both the sending and recieving end of the e-mail have to allow large attachments. It's typically only done at work since public e-mails usually won't allow it. If this is for work, then you should talk to the IT guys and let them know you need to be able to send large files.

ALternativly you could zip or archive the file into a bunch of smaller files like say 10 each nad e-mail them individually, but it's annoying. If you have access to a web server you could upload the whole thing there and then simply e-mail a link. But typically speaking, you won't be able to send an e-mail of that size, because even if you send it off, the ISP on the other end will refuse it.
