sending large files over the internet

Sorry this may seem like on obvious question but I need to send several dozen large files (around 100-500MB in size) to a colleague in Australia. I have no idea how to do it? The files are too numerous and too large to send by e-mail. What is the best method for getting these files to the other side of the world – short of burning them to DVD and putting them in an envelope?

2) HFS - simple file server @ http://www.rejetto.com/sw/ (runs on local PC)

3) FTP server @ http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/ (runs on local PC)
