When I boot up my pc, the first thing that happens is it goes to the bios status screen. It says information about ram, cpu, hdd's, etc. Then it asks you to press f1 to continue or delete to go to setup. This is how it has started up everytime, and I would just press f1 and continue with boot up successfully. Now all of a sudden, my wireless usb/keyboard doesnt work at all and neither does my standard usb or ps/2 keyboard. So, I can't even use my computer anymore because I can't get past the post screen. Any ideas?

    Connect a basic PS2 mouse & keyboard
Next with everything powered down remove CMOS battery for few minutes then reinstall
Power on PC (Dont try to Boot) go directly into BIOS set time & date, check all other settings adj as needed (make sure USB is enabled) then "Save & Exit", then let PC boot

Here's a good free BIOS Guide :major

What exact model/brand PC are we talking about?
    Post spec's please...

Did you try exactly the way I suggested?
When ever trouble shooting Hardware always us a Known Working basic ps2 KB & Mouse

Sometimes a long CMOS reset will bring the dead back to life

I'll reset CMOS several ways before I call it quits, first try remove battery for few minutes
Next try remove for 8hrs (also with system powered down & unplugged press the power button this drains all the juice from the MOBO caps..)

Next & Last is what I consider the Long reset, this is remove the mobo battery for 24 hr (also with system powered down & unplugged press the power button this drains all the juice from the MOBO caps..)

Maybe your missing the entry point into BIOS? After the Reset as soooon as you press the power button tap the delete key repeatedly, dont wait for the on screen prompts

    your ways have worked, gracias.

i guess what i had was not good enough...I had a usb keyboard that had a ps/2 adaptor so I thought it was good enough. I tried an old standard ps/2 keyboard and it worked. I still have a problem though. Why did this whole thing happen? My keyboard and mouse and all usb things just stopped. Is there anything in the bios I need to change again...because I did reset the cmos.?

Resetting CMOS returns your MOBO to default settings
Use to the Guide I posted along with your mobo manual to review all your settings & adj, it's easier than you think.
Your BIOS May have an option to load Optimized defaults but I suggest review all

You say all USB stopped working, humm? you may have burnt out a usb header, is your mobo dirty? Check the usb wiring

Make sure all USB options in BIOS are enabled, some MOBO's have jumpers to enable USB, many mobo's have more than one USB headers that may or may not be utilized by your case

Your usb KB and or Mouse may just be toast, Ive seen bad keyboards do weird stuff
