Serious problems with the file "game.exe"...

I downloaded two files from your site, Gamegain and Game Accelerator, and installed them. I don't remember which of the programs that caused the problems, but while I was using one of them with a game (a small icon in my system tray, with which i activated a "Dynamic Boost" function), my power supply fell out and the computer was restarted (This was not caused by the program). When I was back in Windows again (I use Windows 98), it seemed like the "Dynamic Boost" was still active, but there were no programs at all in the system tray. Only "Explorer" was active. The problem was that with this "Dynamic Boost" active, you couldn't activate program files (It was designed to focus on the games you had already opened). So I thought I had to delete both folders (Gamegain & Game Accelerator) manually, since I could not access "Add/Remove Programs". After that, when i clicked on any program file (.exe file), it said that it needed the file "game.exe" and there was a browse option. So I searched for "game.exe" and found one on my whole machine (in the "Diablo II" folder) (the other was probably in either of the deleted folders), pointed to it and then it said: "Insert the Diablo II Expansion Disc". I did and then the program file launced. Finally, I thought... But then I saw that it was Diablo II that had launched instead. I tried a few other files, but all were the same. Every single program file on my computer now activates Diablo II. What shall I do??? Please tell me of anything you might know, that could help me. What a mess...
