We have Windows Server 2003 Domain Controller and Server 2003 Terminal Server. Recently a couple of users have been receiving pop-ups at login telling them their temporary terminal services license will expire in x days.

Having searched the Microsoft site I can only find references to temporary licenses that expire after 90 days, we have been running this combination of servers for over six months so I am at a los as to know why this is only happening now. I can also find no mention of what will happen when the temporary license expires.

I have looked on the server at the temporary licenses issued and there are even temporary licenses issued to test user accounts that were setup tested and then never used again, the account having since been deleted yet there appears to be no way to delete these excess temporary licenses.

Beofre the countdown reaches zero I would really like to know what the heck is going on and whether a new temporary license will be issued upon expiry or whether life as we now it (well between 9 and 5 at least) for that user will come to a grinding halt.
