service pack 2 problems

    hi,

    i just installed sp2 on my cousins computer because he's having security problems. now he's having problems normally caused by a firewall. i went to control panel/network connections, and the firewall there is disabled. is there another one created by sp2 that i can disable? please help!

    i mean like gaming wise, where pings all read 999 and not being able to host games, etc.
