service pack 2 xp home

hi to all,
i'm new to this so bear with me, and i;m English hahahha need advice really, i have just installed service pack 2 from microsoft and now i cant download my films onto u-torrent, it just tells me to save or deleate, which settings have they changed or do i just uninstall u-torrent and reinstall ? :cry

Hello Alan,
I do believe that possibly either your firewall is playing a part of this, (in which that case if you use uTorrent, you can go into the Preferences and look under connections and find what port needs to be open)

From there, go to Start, Control Panel, Firewall, and add that port as an exception.

Also, the reason why its stating save/cancel, is because ".torrent" extension may not be registered with your computer since you upgraded to SP2, to do that, open up any folder, go to tools, and then Folder Options, and then to File Types, and look for .torrent, and get it to default to open with uTorrent.

to all who gave me advice, sorry for the late reply, i have done what you have said, a mixture of both really, its working again now, it was the permissions which were out of sinc as you said, thanks for your help i will be using this site again and recomending to it to friends:-D
